Maya’s experience in mental health, post-secondary education and social service contributes to her dynamic perspective and conversation on life and everything in between. When Maya is not on the airwaves, she works in the Mental Health Field as a Crisis Intervention Specialist and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Psychology. Shawn and Maya in the Morning ( Monday- Friday 9:00am-12:00 pm CST) Shawn and Maya in the Morning is a three-hour sports talk show that explores the latest topics and news in the world of sports. The show is driven by having engaging conversation on local and national sports news and topics with guests and experts to talk about the latest headlines, rumors, and scores; while highlighting relevant social and political issues that impact athletes, the communities they work and live, as well as, the sports they play. The strongest dynamic of the show is the sports savvy and very calculated point-of-view of the female host fused by a true passion for sports.
